1. About these terms
These terms apply to your use of the Cargoform website and to quote requests, enquiries and bookings made through it. By using the site or sending a request, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
2. Our role
Cargoform is an independent cargo booking agency. We are not a carrier, airline, shipping line or customs broker. We arrange transport through vetted freight forwarding partners and work with licensed customs brokers. The actual carriage, clearance and handling are performed by those third parties under their own terms and conditions.
3. Quotes and pricing
- A quote is an indication of cost based on the details you provide and the rates available at the time.
- Rates can change with carrier availability, fuel, surcharges, currency movements and seasonality.
- A quote is not a booking until we confirm it in writing and any required payment is received.
- If the cargo details change, the quote may change. We will tell you before proceeding.
- Obvious errors or omissions in a quote do not bind us. We will correct them and confirm the revised figure.
4. Bookings and payment
Bookings are subject to space and confirmation from the forwarder or carrier. Payment terms are confirmed in writing before booking. Some bookings require a deposit; others are paid before collection or on an agreed credit term. If payment is not made when due, the booking may be delayed or cancelled and the carrier or forwarder may charge a fee.
5. Your responsibilities
- Give accurate and complete information about the goods, values, parties and destination.
- Pack and label the cargo appropriately for the mode of transport.
- Obtain any licences, permits or certificates required for the goods or the route.
- Ensure the goods are not prohibited or restricted, and declare dangerous goods before booking.
- Pay duties, taxes and destination charges unless the quote says otherwise.
- Keep the shipment documents and correspondence we send you.
6. Restricted and prohibited goods
We do not arrange shipments of goods that are illegal, prohibited or misdeclared. Some goods require special handling, permits or carrier approval. If we discover that a shipment contains undeclared or restricted goods, we may suspend it and the carrier or authority may impose penalties. You are responsible for those consequences.
7. Cancellations and changes
If you cancel or change a booking, the forwarder or carrier may charge cancellation, amendment, storage or rebooking fees. We will pass on those charges and tell you what applies. Charges already incurred for work performed remain payable.
8. Customs, duties and delays
Customs clearance is handled by licensed brokers and is subject to the destination authority. We can help coordinate the file and provide information, but we do not control the authority’s decision, inspection or timing. Duties and taxes are set by the authority and may differ from an estimate. Carrier schedules, weather, port congestion, strikes and other events can also delay a shipment. We will keep you informed, but we cannot guarantee a clearance outcome or a carrier schedule.
9. Liability and insurance
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cargoform is not liable for loss, damage, delay or extra cost caused by third-party carriers, forwarders, brokers, authorities or events outside our reasonable control. Our liability for our own failure to perform is limited to the fees we charged for the service concerned, unless a higher limit is required by law.
Cargo insurance is strongly recommended and can be included in your quote. Carrier liability is usually limited and may not cover the full value of your goods. If you choose not to insure, you accept that risk.
10. Third-party services
Our website may link to third-party services such as Cal.com, Web3Forms, Google Fonts or partner platforms. Those services have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their content or availability.
11. Website use and content
The content on this site is for general information. It is not legal, customs or insurance advice. You may not copy, scrape or misuse the site, attempt to interfere with it, or use it for fraudulent or unlawful purposes. The Cargoform name, logo and site content belong to Cargoform unless stated otherwise.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ghana. Any dispute will be subject to the courts of Ghana, unless applicable law requires otherwise. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply.
