Sea freight
The economical way to move volume.
Ocean freight is the right choice for heavy, bulky or less urgent cargo. We compare full container and shared container options, then coordinate the booking and documents.
- Options
- FCL and LCL
- Best for
- Heavy or bulky cargo
- Coverage
- Major ports worldwide
Full container load
FCL: the container is yours.
Book a 20ft, 40ft or 40ft high-cube container for a single shipment. Better control, less handling and predictable transit for larger volumes.
- Best for regular or high-volume cargo
- One container, one shipment
- Port-to-port or door-to-door
Less than container load
LCL: pay for the space you use.
Share a container with other shipments. You pay for your volume or weight, which makes smaller loads more affordable than booking a whole box.
- Best for smaller or irregular loads
- Priced on volume or weight
- Consolidation adds handling time
Which one?
A simple way to choose.
If you are near a full container, FCL usually wins on cost and control. If you have a few pallets, LCL avoids paying for air you do not use.
You have a full load
Choose FCL. A dedicated container reduces handling and is often the better rate per unit.
You have a few pallets
Choose LCL. You share space and pay for your volume or weight instead of the whole container.
You need it quickly
Compare air. Ocean transit is measured in weeks; if the deadline is tight, air may be worth the difference.
You are not sure
Send the volume and deadline. We will price both and tell you where the break-even sits.

What affects the quote
The ocean rate is only one line.
A useful quote shows the whole journey, not just the base freight. These are the variables that move the number.
- Route and ports. Some lanes have more sailings and more competition than others.
- Volume and weight. LCL is priced on the greater of the two; FCL depends on container size.
- Commodity. Hazardous, oversized or temperature-controlled cargo needs special handling.
- Season. Peak periods can tighten space and push rates up.
- Incoterms. Who pays for origin handling, freight, insurance and destination charges changes the total.
- Destination charges. Port fees, terminal handling and delivery are often separate from the ocean rate.
